New Hires to the industry

WAZP Group provides a comprehensive New Hire Technician and Operator Development Programme.Our approach is based on highly structured modular training followed by robust workplace application resulting in high quality accelerated learning with maximum hands on, discipline specific, practical learning.

The programme follows three phases;

Learners are able to undertake the City & Guilds Level 2 – Diploma in Process Technology

Phase 2 – Learners then progress to the application of their newly acquired knowledge and skills at either the client’s facility or at one of our practical training centres.Our practical training facilities are operated with partner organisations using our training staff.Learners are able to quickly apply their knowledge and skills in activities under the guidance of our instructors. This training integrates technical skills acquired in Phase 1.

Phase 3 – Finally, Learners are mentored in the workplace and then formally competence assessed against international competence standards at our clients’ facilities.Our competence systems are aligned to the International Vocational Qualification (IVQ) Advanced Diploma in Oil and Gas Operations & Maintenance at Level 3.

Our training offerings for ‘experienced personnel’ focuses on short courses, programmes for up/multi skilling and skills enhancement.

Cross Industry Training

Our Cross Industry Skilling Programme takes technically skilled individuals from the military, process sector, mining industries, pharmaceutical sector, paper processing sector, nuclear sector, etc. and enhances their skill set and technical knowledge to ensure the resultant individual has the skill sets as required by the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Cross Skilling Programme starts with a technical evaluation and individual Training Needs Analysis to determine the individual blend of training courses and practical development the delegate requires.This specific targeted approach ensures our programme is cost effective and delivers a high value competent individual.

The delegate then undertakes their individual cross skilling programme that typically starts with the studying of modules from our New Hire portfolio followed by practical training at a selected facility aligned to the delegates’ individual needs.Delegates are finally placed with Oil and Gas organisations to gain the industrial workplace experience.
